OUTLINE
Introduction to the module |
This module examines ways of promoting green entrepreneurship as part of a green business strategy for sustainable development. “Green business strategy refers to the tendency to integrate environmental issues in business strategy, across sub-business functions such as manufacturing, supply chain, finance, human resources and marketing in international markets” (Banerjee, 2002). Participants should be taught how to develop a green business plan that focuses on making positive contributions to the environment. They should be introduced to various types of green businesses, shown how to generate a green business idea, taken through the process of developing a green business strategy and writing a green business plan. This module is shaped mainly by the EntreComp framework. It is structured to develop competencies with the foundation, intermediate, and advanced segments of the EntreComp progressive model. This involves direct supervision, building independence, taking responsibility, and at the expert stage, if possible, driving transformational innovation and growth - reference to the EntreComp into Action document (page 20). For this module, participants who engage and complete the session activities will be able to develop a green venture idea which potentially attracts venture capital investment. |

Recent documentaries such as the BBC's 'Drowning in Plastic' and David Attenborough's 'Planet Earth' have had an impact on public consciousness and shown how vital it is to educate everyone, and especially the next generation, about how we can help. Schools are keen to play their part and are doing so in different ways. Eco Clubs are one way to encourage interest and involvement and can be very rewarding, especially when children are given responsibility to make their own decisions about the changes they want to see and the opportunity to improve their own school environment.” 25 of the best Eco School activity ideas produced by TTS Group Posted on Wednesday 05th December 2018 https://www.tts-group.co.uk/blog/2018/12/05/25-of-the-best-eco-school-club-ideas.html https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/733734964273706843/
